September 2016: Ranelagh Arts Festival and more ....
SEPTEMBER 2016
Good evening folks!
"Too many pieces of music finish too long after the end." - Igor Stravinsky
And that probably goes for e mails, Facebook statuses, twitter feeds, the lot ..he he! so I'll keep this brief.....
I am very excited to be singing tomorrow evening, Tuesday 20th Sept at Jazz at the International Bar with Johnny Taylor, piano, Damian Evans, double bass and Brendan Doyle, sax & clarinet. Songs from this year's release, Dear World, as well from the back catalogue!
Guitarist Julien Colarossi and I will be playing an intimate duo gig at Le Petit Breton, Friday September 30th, 8pm. This is a charming french creperie bistro that I was first invited to play last May by the bridge on Drumcondra Road. Outdoor seating if it's a warm autumn eve. Booking is advised on 01 850 0900
Julien and I are playing a short set at the opening of Ranelagh Arts Festival this coming Saturday 24th at 7pm (ish) at Sandford Church.
I've always wanted to produce my own Christmas jazz concert and this will also be coming up in December. More details later but the dates are : 7th December, Arthurs, Dublin, 14th December The Merchant Hotel, Belfast, 15th December Roe Valley Arts Centre, Derry.
Take care of yourselves and each other and I look forward to seeing you soon!
Best wishes,
Emilie
